| Will I require council approval? |
This will depend on the size of the building and your local council requirements. Most councils require notification for any structure larger than 10 square metres. All CSB structures are designed site specific and to meet the mandatory Australian building codes. A full set of building elevations and engineering plans are supplied with every CSB building to satisfy council requirements. |
| Can CSB arrange council approval? | CSB can arrange council approval for customer's. The customer will need to supply a site plan showing all existing structures and the dimensions of the block. If this is not available CSB can arrange to measure and draw a professional site plan. |
| Can CSB supply me a custom designed building? | CSB can supply made to measure buildings. CSB use an exclusive software application to design each building which enables them to price structures to the nearest millimetre with 100% accuracy. |
| How long will my building take to complete? | CSB structures are supplied to site within 3 - 4 weeks. The erection time will depend on the size of the building. A standard domestic double garage will generally take one day to build. |
| Are CSB all structures engineered? | CSB only supply fully engineered structures. Every building is supplied site specific to ensure that it is suitable to the position and usage. |
| Where do CSB source materials from? | CSB only supply Australian made steel products from reputable Australian companies such as BlueScope Lysaght, Gliderol, B&D Doors and Larnec Doors. |
| Can I build the structure myself? | CSB supply DIY manuals which are job specific and only include details which are relevant to the customers building. CSB structures are very DIY friendly and all components are pre punched and cut to length for convenience. |
| Can CSB build it for me? | CSB can arrange construction if required. CSB only use licensed and experienced contractors who hold current certificates of currency for all the mandatory insurances required by law. |
| Can CSB arrange a concreter for me? | CSB can arrange concrete if required. CSB only use licensed and experienced contractors who hold current certificates of currency for all the mandatory insurances required by law. |
| What colours are available? | The entire Colorbond range of colours are avaiable on all CSB buildings. |
| Will the building get hot inside? | The internal temperature will depend on the external claddings used. CSB have insulation and ventilation products which can be installed to reduce the effects of internal heat. |
| Are CSB buildings suitable in all areas? | CSB can supply buildings in every wind region and terrrain category throughout Australia. Each building is supplied site specific to ensure it meets the engineering criteria specified for area. |
| How long will a CSB structure last? | CSB structures are designed site specific to maximise the longevity of each building. The lifespan and warranty period provided will depend on the area the building is positioned. |
| Where can CSB deliver too? | CSB can deliver anywhere in Australia. If the standard delivery option is not available then external freight options will be arranged. |
| What is included in a CSB garage kit? | CSB garage kits include: external cladding for the roof and walls, all the required galvanised frame components, all the required external flashings, the gutters and downpipes, high tensile purlin assembly bolts and frame screws, coloured roof and wall screws, all the required brackets and cleats, roller door/s, certified engineering details, job specific construction manual. |
| Can CSB match a garage to my house? | CSB have an extensive range of unique external cladding options such as horizontal Hardies products, rendered blue board products and horizontal Colorbond products which enable customer's to match the garage to their existing structures. |
| Does CSB supply a warranty? | CSB supply a manufacturers warranty which is dependant on the effects of the elements in relation to the buildings position. All manufacturers warranties are supplied site specific. |
| How do I maintain my CSB building? | CSB supply a building maintenance manual with every garage which explains to clean the structure and what products are harmful to building components. |
| Can I live in a CSB building? | CSB supply class 10 buildings as standard however CSB can supply class 1 buildings if requested. Simple modifications can be made to CSB class 10 buildings to make them suitable to inhabit. |
| Is CSB licensed to supply me a building? | All CSB distibutors are contractually required to hold a current license to supply prefabricated steel buildings and must provide their license number on all quotes and contracts. |
